  • We conduct a range of assessments, including cognitive, behavioural, diagnostic and developmental evaluations. We also offer specialised assessments for conditions such as autism spectrum disorder, learning disabilities, and speech or motor delays.

  • We provide assessments for children, adolescents, and adults, tailoring our approach to suit each individual’s needs.

  • We strive to avoid long waiting times and aim to offer appointments within four weeks. In many cases, we can book you in sooner, especially if you are flexible with timing. However, specific times or days may require additional waiting.

  • Yes, most assessments are conducted in person. However, certain parts of the assessment may be done over the phone or via zoom if traveling or scheduling is difficult.

  • Our main office is located in South-West Sydney, however at times we can do some assessments offsite

  • You can reach us via email or contact form link. We aim to respond promptly to all inquiries and are here to help answer any questions about assessments, bookings, or service options.

  • Appointments are available during the day, evenings, and on Saturdays. For specific availability or to discuss a preferred time, please get in touch.

  • If you need to reschedule, please contact us as soon as possible. We’ll do our best to find a new appointment time that works for you.

  • We require a minimum of 48 hours’ notice for cancellations to allow others the opportunity to take the slot. You will receive a reminder 48 hours prior to your appointment.

  • We will provide you with any necessary forms or questionnaires prior to your appointment. If possible, it is also helpful to bring any relevant documentation, such as school reports or previous evaluations.

  • The assessment process is designed to be comfortable and supportive. It generally involves interviews, questionnaires, and activities with the client. We will be happy to explain each step along the way and answer any questions.

  • For children, it is helpful to explain that the assessment is just a way for us to learn more about their strengths and challenges. Try to keep explanations simple, positive, and age-appropriate.

  • Yes, we welcome family members or support persons to attend, especially if it makes the client more comfortable. For certain assessments you may not be allowed to sit with the person doing the assessment. Please let us know in advance if you plan to bring someone along.

  • The duration of each assessment varies depending on the type and complexity. Typically, sessions range from one to three hours. We will provide a more specific timeframe when booking.

  • Please bring any relevant documents, such as previous assessment reports, school reports, or any forms we may have provided before the appointment.

  • In certain cases, we may be able to arrange home-based assessments, particularly for clients with specific needs or limited mobility. Please contact us to discuss this option.

  • No referral is necessary, although some clients are referred by doctors, teachers, or other specialists. If you do have a referral, please bring it with you to the appointment.

  • Our fees vary based on the type and length of the assessment. Some of the assessment fees are already on the website. Please contact us for a detailed breakdown, and we will be happy to discuss payment options if needed.

  • Depending on your insurance provider and policy, assessments may be partially or fully covered. We recommend checking with your provider regarding coverage for psychological, occupational therapy, or speech assessments. However, we do not delete directly with your insurance so when you pay for the assessment, we provide you and receipt for your payment and you can then recover it from your insurer. There is no guarantee that all insurance is cover assessments. Check with your insurance provider.

  • No Medicare does not cover any assessments

  • Yes, if you or your child is a NDIS participant, our services may be eligible for funding under certain support categories. Please reach out, and we can help clarify the funding options.

  • Yes, after the assessment is complete, a comprehensive written report will be provided. This report will include findings, recommendations, and strategies to support development or behaviour, as applicable.

  • Reports are typically ready within two to three weeks after the assessment. If you need the report sooner, please let us know, and we’ll do our best to accommodate.

  • Yes, we provide follow-up consultations if needed to discuss the assessment results and offer guidance on next steps, support strategies, or any additional services that may be beneficial.
